JOB DESCRIPTION

 

General Description

The Floret Shop Manager supports the company operations by ensuring all warehouse, shipping, and customer service activities are planned, managed, and executed with accuracy and care.

This position has supervisory responsibilities and reports to the General Manager.

Compensation: salaried $60,000+ / year, based on relevant experience

Expected hire date: July 2019

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage team’s schedule and time sheets
  • Serve as an expert in the daily functions of ordering, receiving, storing, inventory control, and shipping with accuracy
  • Purchase and replenish product/inventory based on ordering thresh-holds and sell through rate
  • Communicate with internal and external personnel daily regarding pending shipments and purchase orders, product receipts, scheduled shipments, and delayed replenishment of items
  • Track and analyze statistics to ensure the shop team is operating efficiently and with consistency
  • Schedule all freight shipments with attention to time, spacing, and labor restraints
  • Report any damages or missing product immediately to shipping company and vendor
  • Lead, develop, and train the shop team, with an overall focus efficiency, accuracy, and care
  • Take weekly inventory on all processing supplies (labels, mailers, etc.)
  • Ensure proper training and utilization of Shopify and ShipStation
  • Analyze processes/procedures and make improvements to save time and resources upon arrival
  • Plan and execute the annual seed packeting procedures
  • Provide solid fulfillment plans for the Fall online launch and the Spring online launch
  • Promote and maintain a clean working environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of supply chain and customer service experience
  • Great attention to detail and strong commitment to follow through of standard operating procedures for warehousing, shipping, logistics, etc.
  • Self-driven; proactive problem solver that can bring trusted solutions to increase and/or maintain expected productivity
  • Highly organized and excellent time management skills
  • Driven to be accurate and communicates information/data in a quick, fact-oriented manner
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Team oriented with proven ability to organize, direct, and motivate others to reach daily, weekly, and monthly goals (KPIs)
  • Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Capable of working a consistent schedule with the ability to work overtime during peak times
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse/farm environment in Mount Vernon, Washington
  • Healthy and energetic with stamina for long days in a physical job environment
  • Open minded, inclusive and respectful of all walks of life
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must have a current driver’s license and clean driving record
