2020 FLORET ONLINE WORKSHOP FAQ

 

Q: WHAT IS THE REGISTRATION PERIOD FOR THE 2020 FLORET ONLINE WORKSHOP ?

A: Enrollment for the 2020 Floret Online Workshop opens at 9 a.m. PST November 4, 2019 and closes at 5 p.m. PST November 8, 2019. 

 

Q: WHEN DOES THE 2020 FLORET ONLINE WORKSHOP COURSE BEGIN? 

A: The Floret Online Workshop will begin on January 10, 2020. 

 

Q: WHY IS THERE A GAP BETWEEN WHEN REGISTRATION ENDS AND WHEN THE COURSE BEGINS? 

 

A: The short gap between when registration ends and when the course begins allows us time to mail you the course book. Unlike most online courses, we will be sending out physical copies of the material, plus other goodies. We promise it will be worth the wait!

 

Q: DO I NEED TO DOWNLOAD ANY SPECIAL SOFTWARE FOR THE WORKSHOP?

A: No additional software is needed. The workshop is a web-based platform, so all you need is an internet connection. 

Video load time will depend on your network and internet connection. Different browsers require different network speeds. For the best experience, we recommend using the Google Chrome browser. If you live in an area with slower internet speeds, you may want to try Vivaldi or Opera. We do NOT recommend using Internet Explorer.

 

Q:  WHEN WILL I GET ACCESS TO ALL OF THE WORKSHOP CONTENT?

A: We release one module per week of the six-week course, starting on January 10th. You will receive an email each Friday during the workshop letting you know the next module is available. At the end of the six weeks, you will have access to all of the content and you can watch and re-watch the videos at your convenience. Sorry, but we cannot release any modules early. 

 

Q:  DO I NEED TO LOG IN AT A SPECIFIC TIME EACH WEEK?

A: No. There isn't a specific time you need to log in to access the workshop content. Once a workshop module is released, you can watch the video lessons any day or time you want, whenever it is most convenient for you. 

 

Q: IF I SIGN UP FOR A PAYMENT PLAN. WHAT DAY WILL MY ACCOUNT BE CHARGED FOR SUBSEQUENT PAYMENTS?

A:  Payment plans will bill your account 30 days after your initial payment. Each subsequent payment will be billed 30 days later.  



Q: CAN YOU CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD ON A SPECIFIC DAY OF THE MONTH AS PART OF YOUR PAYMENT PLAN OPTION?

A: With our payment option, you will be charged the first payment at checkout and your next payment will be automatically billed 30 days later. Sorry, but our payment processor does not allow us to set up individualized billing dates.



Q: CAN MY FRIEND AND I SPLIT THE COST AND REGISTER TOGETHER? 

A: No. The course is set up for one person per registration. Sharing passwords, screenshots, course packet copies or any other information from the workshop to anyone not registered is strictly prohibited. Please note: we do monitor all accounts for unauthorized logins and we reserve the right to revoke access and deny a refund to anyone found in violation of our terms of use

 

Q: CAN I PURCHASE THE COURSE PACKET OR LEARNING MODULES INDIVIDUALLY?

A: The Floret Online Workshop is available as a complete course only. Individual modules and course packets are not available for purchase separately.

 

Q: IS THERE AN EXTRA FEE TO SHIP THE COURSE PACKET TO ME? 

A: No, there is no extra fee for shipping the course packet to you. The workshop materials are included in tuition costs. 

 

Q: HOW DO THE WEEKLY Q&A SESSIONS WORK?

A:  Each week during the first six weeks of the workshop, you will have an opportunity to submit a written question related to that week's module. Questions will be submitted inside the Online Workshop portal. Each week, Erin, Jill & the Floret Team will answer common questions and provide additional information. The Q&A session videos will be uploaded into the module the following week for students to view. 

 

2019 FLORET ONLINE WORKSHOP FAQ

 

Q: WHERE DO I LOG IN TO THE FLORET ONLINE WORKSHOP? 

A: Login to your account at: https://workshop.floretflowers.com/login. 

Be sure to login with the email you used to register for the workshop. And please note that the login for the workshop is different than the login for the Floret Shop and Farmer-Florist Collective

 

Q: WHAT DO I DO IF I CAN'T REMEMBER MY PASSWORD TO LOG IN?

A: If you cannot remember your Workshop password, simply hit "Forgot Password" on the Login Page and the system will send you an email to reset it. 

 

Q: WHERE DO I FIND THE WORKSHOP PDF DOWNLOADS?

A: At the bottom of each Module is a "Downloads" section that includes a number of PDF documents that you can download and print. Please note: this information is already included in your course packet and not all pages of the 2019 Course Packet are available as PDFs. We included digital versions of select pages that are useful to print and use year after year. The "Alumni Worksheet Updates" section is for our 2018 students to access the new or modified information for 2019. All of this information is already included in the 2019 Course Packet.

 

Q: I'M HAVING TROUBLE VIEWING THE VIDEOS/ THE VIDEOS ARE CHOPPY OR SOMETIMES "FLICKER." WHAT SHOULD I DO?

A: First, be sure to close all other browser windows and any other programs that are open on your computer, then refresh your browser (we recommend using Google Chrome). If you continue to experiencing issues, you may need to clear your cache or update your browser.  

Another option is to try using Vivaldi or Opera as your web browser, as they do not require high internet connection speeds to view videos. Note: We do NOT recommend using Internet Explorer.

 

Q: I'M A MEMBER OF THE CLASS OF 2018. WHAT NEW CONTENT DID YOU ADD TO THE 2019 COURSE? 

A: In the Downloads area of Module 1 is a new section called "Alumni Worksheet Updates" where you can find PDFs of any pages that were added, edited or modified from your 2018 Course Packet. In this area you also will find the "New Video Outline" PDF that summarizes all new videos that have been added across the entire workshop curriculum. 

 

Q: HOW CAN I MAKE SURE I RECEIVE ALL WORKSHOP-RELATED EMAILS? 

A: To ensure that future messages from Floret go to your primary inbox (versus promotions tab) please be sure to add the following address to your contacts:  [email protected]

Q: I SIGNED UP FOR A 6-MONTH PAYMENT PLAN; CAN I PAY OFF MY BALANCE EARLY?

A: Yes, please send an email to [email protected] and we can send you an invoice for your remaining balance. 



Q: CAN YOU CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD ON A SPECIFIC DAY OF THE MONTH AS PART OF YOUR PAYMENT PLAN OPTION?

Q:  HOW DO I UPDATE MY CREDIT CARD AND BILLING INFORMATION?

A: You can update your billing preferences by following these steps (Note: This is easier to do using a desktop computer versus mobile device):

1) log in to the Floret Online Workshop using the email and password you created during registration

2) Click on your Avatar (circle) in the top right corner of the page

3) Select Settings from the dropdown

4) Click Credit Card Info in the top right of the page

5) Click Change Card

   

 

Q: DOES THE ONLINE WORKSHOP INCLUDE FLORAL DESIGN TUTORIALS?

A: The Online Workshop provides detailed instruction on making market bouquets and efficient packaging techniques, but the course does not include wedding-type design tutorials. 


Q: WILL THE VIDEOS IN THE ONLINE WORKSHOP BE AVAILABLE AFTER 1 YEAR?

A. Yes! Unlike other online courses that restrict access to the content after a year or allow you to view it on only one device, the Floret Online Workshop information is yours to keep. You'll have lifetime access to all of the content and any updates we make to the modules.

  

Q: I HAVE A LOT ON MY PLATE. WHAT IF I FALL BEHIND IN THE LESSONS?

A: It is no problem at all. What is great about the online course is that you can go at your own pace and learn whenever and wherever you are. Plus, you get lifetime access to the videos and other content, so you can always come back when you need a refresher.
