NEW STUDENT FAQ
The 2021 Floret Online Workshop kicks off on January 15. We will release one module per week of the six-week course. You will receive an email each Friday (starting on January 15) letting you know the next module is available. At the end of the six weeks, you will have access to all of the video content, which you can watch and re-watch at your convenience. Sorry, but we cannot release any modules early. View workshop orientation video.
We shipped course books to students who live outside of North America in late November and all others shipped in late December. Your shipping notification email includes a tracking number which provides an estimated date of arrival for your package. If you placed a course book order and have not received it yet, please contact [email protected].
If you are unsure if you completed your workshop course book order, please contact [email protected] and we can confirm if we received your order.
Please watch our Learning Community Orientation video and download the checklist to learn how to access your account, create your profile, and update your settings.
Sometimes Chrome will auto-fill the "new password" field when you are in the workshop settings. If that happens, simply delete what is auto-filled (this typically appears as dots), complete the rest of the settings, and then click "save." (watch minute 4:48 in the Orientation video). If that doesn't work, try clearing your browser cache and cookies or try updating your profile settings in a different browser, such as Safari.
If you cannot remember your workshop password, simply hit "Forgot password" on the Login Page and the system will send you an email to reset it.
You can view posts organized by topic in the Topics tab. In the Feed tab, you can view all posts, regardless of topic. All new posts and any past posts with new comments or replies will be "bumped" to the top of the feed. Floret will sometimes "pin" posts to the top of the feed to be sure that students see them first. Scroll down the feed to see new posts that may have been added recently, but that have not been pinned or do not have new comments and replies.
Use the search bar to search by a word used in your post or comment (if you mentioned your town, for example, search by the name of your town). Unfortunately, the search function doesn't allow you to search by student names unless the name was included within the text of the post. For any posts that you want to reference in the future, we recommend that you use the "Copy Link to Post" feature and maintain your own list of favorite posts in a separate document. You can find the "Copy Link to Post" option by clicking the three vertical dots in the upper right hand corner of each post when using a desktop.
The yellow star will automatically appear on any post that you comment on or create. The star is used to turn off/on notifications about individual posts you created or commented on, BUT ONLY IF your account settings are set up to send you notifications for all replies to posts and comments (this setting is NOT recommended).
It is not possible to receive email notifications on posts if you did not create them or comment on them, regardless of your account notification settings.
For any posts that you want to reference in the future, we recommend that you use the "Copy Link to Post" feature and maintain your own list of favorite posts in a separate document. You can find the "Copy Link to Post" option by clicking the three vertical dots in the upper right hand corner of each post when using a desktop.
Reminder: If you followed our instructions to update your account settings in the Learning Community Orientation video, you will receive email notifications only if you are tagged/mentioned in posts or comments. If you did not follow our instructions for adjusting the account settings, you will receive email notifications for each and every reply to your posts and comments, which can be overwhelming in our large community group. As a reminder, you can adjust your account settings by clicking on your avatar (desktop) or "hamburger" menu (mobile)--> Settings--> Profile Settings --> "uncheck" the box next to: "Please notify me when a reply to one of my posts or comments is created." (this setting is recommended).
For the best user experience, we recommend using the Google Chrome browser. If you continue to experience issues, you may need to clear your cache or update your browser. If you live in an area with slower internet speeds, you may want to try Vivaldi or Opera. We do NOT recommend using Internet Explorer.
First, be sure to close all other browser windows and any other programs that are open on your computer, then refresh your browser. If you continue to experience issues, you may need to clear your cache or update your browser.
Video load time will depend on your network and internet connection. Different browsers require different network speeds. For the best experience, we recommend using the Google Chrome browser. If you live in an area with slower internet speeds, you may want to try Vivaldi or Opera. We do NOT recommend using Internet Explorer.
At the bottom of most Modules is a "Downloads" section that includes PDF documents that you can download and print. Please note: this information is already included in your course book and not all pages of the book are available as PDFs. We included digital versions of select pages that are useful to print and use year after year.
The 2021 Floret Online Workshop includes a La Musa de las Flores Tour video, but not a Q&A video. Please refer to the 2021 Video Outline (with video lengths) in the Module 1 Downloads section for a complete list of videos.
Learning Community Introduction Prompt
The gap between when registration ends and when the course begins allows us time to print and mail you the course book. Unlike most online courses, we will be sending out physical copies of the course materials. We promise it will be worth the wait!
Payment plans will bill your account 30 days after your initial payment. Each subsequent payment will be billed 30 days later.

No, the workshop is a web-based platform, so all you need is an Internet connection. You can access the content on your computer, smartphone, tablet, or other mobile device; no special applications or software downloads necessary. For the best user experience, we recommend using the Google Chrome browser. If you live in an area with slower internet speeds, you may want to try Vivaldi or Opera. We do NOT recommend using Internet Explorer.
No. Because all the content is online, you can go at your own pace to get through the material. It’s no problem to take a break during your busy times and resume the course once things quiet down. There is no specific time you need to login to access the workshop content. Once the workshop begins and each weekly module is released, you can watch the video lessons whenever it is most convenient for you. You can always revisit a lesson when questions arise about a specific topic, as you have lifetime access to the course materials.
Sorry, but we are only able to provide one Floret Learning Community group invitation per workshop registration.
No. The course is set up for one person per registration. Sharing passwords, screenshots, course packet copies, or any other information from the workshop to anyone not registered is strictly prohibited. Please note: we do monitor accounts for unauthorized logins and we reserve the right to revoke access and deny a refund to anyone found in violation of our terms of use.
Each week of the 2021 workshop you will have an opportunity to submit a question for Erin to answer during the weekly Q&A session video. To increase the likelihood that your question will be addressed, please make sure it relates to the course content included in the most recently released module. Questions that are unique to your farm or specific situation are less likely to be answered, as we want the information shared in the video to benefit the broader student audience. Post your question inside the Floret Learning Community under the topic for that week's module. Please refer to the 2021 workshop schedule in your course book for weekly submission deadlines. The Q&A session videos will be uploaded at the bottom of each module.
To ensure that future messages from Floret go to your primary inbox (versus promotions tab) please be sure to add the following addresses to your contacts: [email protected] and [email protected].

Login to your account at: https://workshop.floretflowers.com/login.
Be sure to login with the email you used to register for the workshop. And please note that the login for the workshop is different than the login for the Floret Shop and Farmer-Florist Collective.
All new and updated pages from the 2021 course book are available as a single PDF document in the 2021 Workshop Updates for Alumni section of Module 1. The PDF includes valuable vendor coupons, including a discount code for Floret seeds. You'll also find an updated workshop video outline which indicates all of the new videos in bold, a Q&A Video Index, and a digital version of the 1/4-acre Cutting Garden Plan. Note: this is a large-format print document and we do not recommend printing it on your home computer. If you send the pdf to your local print shop they will be able to print this to scale for you (11"x22").
During the 2021 Floret Online Workshop we will be rolling out the six modules week by week for our new students. Only some of the modules will be viewable within the Floret Online Workshop area during this time period (January 15 - February 19). Alumni can view ALL workshop videos and downloads within the Alumni Access: Floret Online Workshop area of your library.
Please contact [email protected] if you are not receiving Floret Online Workshop-related emails. The Floret Online Workshop, Floret Shop, and Floret email newsletters all operate on different platforms, so if you updated your email in the workshop account settings, it won't automatically be updated with our email service provider. If you update your email, please contact us so we can update it across all Floret accounts.
