NEW STUDENT FAQ


 

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY COURSE BOOK?

We plan to mail course books in November. You will receive a shipping notification from the Floret Shop with a tracking number once it ships. If you are unsure if you completed your order for the workshop course book, please contact [email protected] and we will happily confirm if your order was received.

 

WHEN WILL I GET ACCESS TO ALL OF THE WORKSHOP CONTENT?

We will release one module per week of the six-week course. You will receive an email each Friday starting on January 15 letting you know the next module is available. At the end of the six weeks, you will have access to all of the video content, which you can watch and re-watch at your convenience. Sorry, but we cannot release any modules early.

 

WHY IS THERE A GAP BETWEEN WHEN REGISTRATION ENDS AND WHEN THE WORKSHOP BEGINS? 

The short gap between when registration ends and when the course begins allows us time to mail you the course book. Unlike most online courses, we will be sending out physical copies of the course materials. We promise it will be worth the wait!

 

WILL I NEED TO DOWNLOAD ANY SPECIAL SOFTWARE FOR THE WORKSHOP? 

No, the workshop is a web-based platform, so all you need is an Internet connection. You can access the content on your computer, smartphone, tablet, or other mobile device; no special applications or software downloads necessary. For the best user experience, we recommend using the Google Chrome browser.  If you live in an area with slower internet speeds, you may want to try Vivaldi or Opera. We do NOT recommend using Internet Explorer.

 

WILL I NEED TO LOGIN AT A SPECIFIC TIME EACH WEEK? 

No. Because all the content is online, you can go at your own pace to get through the material. It’s no problem to take a break during your busy times and resume the course once things quiet down. There is no specific time you need to login to access the workshop content. Once the workshop begins and each weekly module is released, you can watch the video lessons whenever it is most convenient for you. You can always revisit a lesson when questions arise about a specific topic, as you have lifetime access to the course materials. 

 

I SIGNED UP FOR A PAYMENT PLAN. WHAT DAY WILL MY ACCOUNT BE CHARGED FOR SUBSEQUENT PAYMENTS?

Payment plans will bill your account 30 days after your initial payment. Each subsequent payment will be billed 30 days later.  

 

I SIGNED UP FOR THE SIX-MONTH PAYMENT PLAN; CAN I PAY OFF MY BALANCE EARLY?

Yes, please send an email to [email protected] and we can send you an invoice for your remaining balance. 

 

CAN YOU CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD ON A SPECIFIC DAY OF THE MONTH AS PART OF THE PAYMENT PLAN OPTION?

Sorry, but our payment processor does not allow us to set up individualized billing dates. With the payment plan option, you will be charged the first payment at checkout and your next payment will be automatically billed 30 days later. 

 

HOW DO I UPDATE MY CREDIT CARD AND BILLING INFORMATION?

You can update your billing preferences by following these steps (note: this is easier to do using a desktop computer versus mobile device):

1) Log in to the Floret Online Workshop using the email and password you created during registration.

2) Click on your Avatar (circle) in the top right corner of the page.

3) Select Settings from the dropdown.

4) Click Credit Card Info in the top right of the page.

5) Click Change Card.

 

CAN I INVITE MY BUSINESS PARTNER/SPOUSE/FRIEND TO THE FLORET LEARNING COMMUNITY?

Sorry, but we are only able to provide one Floret Learning Community group invitation per workshop registration. 

 

CAN I SHARE THE WORKSHOP LOGIN WITH A FRIEND? 

No. The course is set up for one person per registration. Sharing passwords, screenshots, course packet copies, or any other information from the workshop to anyone not registered is strictly prohibited. Please note: we do monitor accounts for unauthorized logins and we reserve the right to revoke access and deny a refund to anyone found in violation of our terms of use

   

HOW DO THE WEEKLY Q&A SESSIONS WORK?

Each week of the 2021 workshop you will have an opportunity to submit a question for Erin to answer during the weekly Q&A session video. To increase the likelihood that your question will be addressed, please make sure it relates to the course content included in the most recently released module. Questions that are unique to your farm or specific situation are less likely to be answered, as we want the information shared in the video to benefit the broader student audience. Post your question inside the Floret Learning Community under the topic for that week's module. Please refer to the 2021 workshop schedule in your course book for weekly submission deadlines. The Q&A session videos will be uploaded at the bottom of each module. 

 

HOW CAN I MAKE SURE I RECEIVE ALL WORKSHOP-RELATED EMAILS? 

To ensure that future messages from Floret go to your primary inbox (versus promotions tab) please be sure to add the following addresses to your contacts: [email protected] and [email protected].

    

DOES THE ONLINE WORKSHOP INCLUDE FLORAL DESIGN TUTORIALS?

The Online Workshop provides detailed instruction on making market bouquets and efficient packaging techniques, but the course does not include wedding-type design tutorials. 

 

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY? 

Our refund policy can be found on our Terms & Conditions page.

   

WHAT DO I DO IF I CAN'T REMEMBER MY PASSWORD TO LOG IN?

If you cannot remember your workshop password, simply hit "Forgot password" on the Login Page and the system will send you an email to reset it.

WHERE DO I LOG IN TO THE FLORET ONLINE WORKSHOP? 

Login to your account at: https://workshop.floretflowers.com/login

Be sure to login with the email you used to register for the workshop. And please note that the login for the workshop is different than the login for the Floret Shop and Farmer-Florist Collective

 

WHAT NEW CONTENT WILL YOU BE ADDING TO THE 2021 COURSE? 

In early January, we will compile all new and updated pages from the course book into a single PDF document and add it to the Course Book updates for Alumni PDF in the Downloads area of Module 1. In it, you'll find the workshop video outline which will indicate all of the new videos in bold. The PDF update will also include valuable vendor coupons, including a discount code for the Floret Shop, so be sure to check it out!

   

HOW ARE POSTS IN THE LEARNING COMMUNITY ORGANIZED? HOW DO I SEE NEW POSTS?

New posts, posts with new comments, and posts with new replies to comments are "bumped" to the top of the learning community feed. Continue scrolling down the feed to see original posts that may have been posted recently, but that do not have new comments. You can also view posts organized by topic by navigating to the Topics tab. Learning Community Tips & Tricks.

 

HOW DO LEARNING COMMUNITY EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS WORK?

CAN I ACCESS THE WORKSHOP & LEARNING COMMUNITY VIA MY PHONE? 

YES! Kajabi, the platform that hosts the workshop website, now has a mobile Kajabi App where you will be able to access the Floret Online Workshop course content and learning community.  View Mobile App Video Tutorial.

   

I'M HAVING TROUBLE VIEWING THE VIDEOS/ THE VIDEOS ARE CHOPPY OR SOMETIMES "FLICKER." WHAT SHOULD I DO?

First, be sure to close all other browser windows and any other programs that are open on your computer, then refresh your browser. If you continue to experience issues, you may need to clear your cache or update your browser.  

Video load time will depend on your network and internet connection. Different browsers require different network speeds. For the best experience, we recommend using the Google Chrome browser. If you live in an area with slower internet speeds, you may want to try Vivaldi or Opera. We do NOT recommend using Internet Explorer.

 

WHERE DO I FIND THE PRINTABLE PDF DOWNLOADS?

At the bottom of most Modules is a "Downloads" section that includes PDF documents that you can download and print. Please note: this information is already included in your course book and not all pages of the book are available as PDFs. We included digital versions of select pages that are useful to print and use year after year.
