2020 FLORET ONLINE WORKSHOP FAQ

  

Q: WHERE DO I LOG IN TO THE FLORET ONLINE WORKSHOP? 

A: Login to your account at: https://workshop.floretflowers.com/login. 

Be sure to login with the email you used to register for the workshop. And please note that the login for the workshop is different than the login for the Floret Shop and Farmer-Florist Collective

 

Q:  I DIDN'T GET A NOTIFICATION ABOUT THE START OF THE WORKSHOP. CAN YOU RE-SEND?

A: Please check the "promotions" tab of Gmail. We've had a few students report that their email went there and they missed the notice. If so, drag the email to your primary folder and add [email protected] to your contacts. View a web-version of the email notice here. If you did not get the notification, contact [email protected]

 
 

Q: HOW DO I ACCESS THE FLORET LEARNING COMMUNITY? / I DIDN'T GET A SECOND EMAIL ABOUT THE LEARNING COMMUNITY. CAN YOU RE-SEND IT? 

A:  Access the Floret Learning Community by logging in on the Floret Online Workshop login pagehttps://workshop.floretflowers.com/login 

 

Q: HOW ARE POSTS IN THE LEARNING COMMUNITY ORGANIZED? WHY DO I KEEP SEEING THE SAME POSTS? HOW DO I SEE NEW POSTS?

A: New posts, posts with new comments, and posts with new replies to comments are "bumped" to the top of the learning community feed. Continue scrolling down the feed to see original posts that may have been posted recently, but that do not have new comments. You can also view posts organized by topic by navigating to the Topics tab.

Q: HOW DO LEARNING COMMUNITY EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS WORK?

Q: I DIDN'T GET A COURSE BOOK. SHOULD I HAVE RECEIVED IT BY NOW?

A: If you have not yet received your course book, please email [email protected].

 

Q: WHY CAN'T I VIEW ALL THE VIDEOS IN ALL THE WORKSHOP MODULES?

A: We will release one module per week during the 6-week workshop. The modules will be released according to the following schedule:

January 10th: Module 1 - Getting Clear

January 17th: Module 2 - Planning the Farm

January 24th: Module 3 - Getting a Good Start

January 31st: Module 4 - Get Growing

February 7th: Module 5 - Sales & Marketing

February 14th: Module 6 - Harvesting & Caring for Cut Flowers

At the conclusion of the 6-week workshop, 2020 students will have access to all of the workshop content. Sorry, but we can't release modules early. 

Alumni students from the class of 2019 and class of 2018 can now view all six modules. Choose the "Alumni Access to Floret Online Workshop" in the "My Library" section when you login.  Once we wrap up the 2020 class with current students, you will access the content as you normally do. 

 

Q: I'M HAVING TROUBLE PLAYING THE VIDEOS/ACCESSING THE COMMUNITY POSTS. WHAT SHOULD I DO? 

A. For the best user experience, we recommend using the Google Chrome browser. If you continue to experience issues, you may need to clear your cache or update your browser.  If you live in an area with slower internet speeds, you may want to try Vivaldi or Opera. We do NOT recommend using Internet Explorer.

 

Q: CAN I ACCESS THE WORKSHOP & LEARNING COMMUNITY VIA MY PHONE? 

A: YES! Kajabi, the platform that hosts the workshop website, now has a mobile Kajabi App where you will be able to access the Floret Online Workshop course content and learning community.

Q: I'M HAVING TROUBLE VIEWING THE VIDEOS/ THE VIDEOS ARE CHOPPY OR SOMETIMES "FLICKER." WHAT SHOULD I DO?

A: First, be sure to close all other browser windows and any other programs that are open on your computer, then refresh your browser. If you continue to experience issues, you may need to clear your cache or update your browser.  

Video load time will depend on your network and internet connection. Different browsers require different network speeds. For the best experience, we recommend using the Google Chrome browser. Q:  DO I NEED TO LOG IN AT A SPECIFIC TIME EACH WEEK?

A: No, there isn't a specific time you need to log in to access the workshop content. Once a workshop module is released, you can watch the video lessons any day or time you want, whenever it is most convenient for you. 

 

Q: I SIGNED UP FOR A PAYMENT PLAN. WHAT DAY WILL MY ACCOUNT BE CHARGED FOR SUBSEQUENT PAYMENTS?

A:  Payment plans will bill your account 30 days after your initial payment. Each subsequent payment will be billed 30 days later.  

 

Q: I SIGNED UP FOR THE 6-MONTH PAYMENT PLAN; CAN I PAY OFF MY BALANCE EARLY?

A: Yes, please send an email to [email protected] and we can send you an invoice for your remaining balance. 

 

Q: CAN YOU CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD ON A SPECIFIC DAY OF THE MONTH AS PART OF YOUR PAYMENT PLAN OPTION?

A: With our payment option, you will be charged the first payment at checkout and your next payment will be automatically billed 30 days later. Sorry, but our payment processor does not allow us to set up individualized billing dates.

 

Q: CAN I SHARE THE WORKSHOP LOGIN WITH A FRIEND? 

A: No. The course is set up for one person per registration. Sharing passwords, screenshots, course packet copies or any other information from the workshop to anyone not registered is strictly prohibited. Please note: we do monitor all accounts for unauthorized logins and we reserve the right to revoke access and deny a refund to anyone found in violation of our terms of use

   

Q: HOW DO THE WEEKLY Q&A SESSIONS WORK?

A: Each week of the 2020 workshop you have an opportunity to submit a question for Erin to answer during the weekly Q&A session video. To increase the likelihood that your question will be addressed, please make sure it relates to the course content included in the most recently released module. Questions that are unique to your farm or specific situation are less likely to be answered, as we want the information shared in the video to benefit the broader student audience. Post your question inside the Floret Learning Community under the topic for that week's module. Please refer to the 2020 workshop schedule in your course book for weekly submission deadlines. The Q&A session videos will be uploaded at the bottom of each module. 

 

Q: HOW CAN I MAKE SURE I RECEIVE ALL WORKSHOP-RELATED EMAILS? 

A: To ensure that future messages from Floret go to your primary inbox (versus promotions tab) please be sure to add the following address to your contacts:  [email protected] 

 

Q:  HOW DO I UPDATE MY CREDIT CARD AND BILLING INFORMATION?

A: You can update your billing preferences by following these steps (Note: This is easier to do using a desktop computer versus mobile device):

1) log in to the Floret Online Workshop using the email and password you created during registration

2) Click on your Avatar (circle) in the top right corner of the page

3) Select Settings from the dropdown

4) Click Credit Card Info in the top right of the page

5) Click Change Card

    

Q: DOES THE ONLINE WORKSHOP INCLUDE FLORAL DESIGN TUTORIALS?

A: The Online Workshop provides detailed instruction on making market bouquets and efficient packaging techniques, but the course does not include wedding-type design tutorials. 


Q: WILL THE VIDEOS IN THE ONLINE WORKSHOP BE AVAILABLE AFTER 1 YEAR?

A. Yes! Unlike other online courses that restrict access to the content after a year or allow you to view it on only one device, the Floret Online Workshop information is yours to keep. You'll have lifetime access to all of the content and any updates we make to the modules.

  

Q: I HAVE A LOT ON MY PLATE. WHAT IF I FALL BEHIND IN THE LESSONS?

A: It is no problem at all. What is great about the online course is that you can go at your own pace and learn whenever and wherever you are. Plus, you get lifetime access to the videos and other content, so you can always come back when you need a refresher.

       

Q: WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?

A: Our refund policy can be found on our Terms & Conditions page.

   

Q: WHAT DO I DO IF I CAN'T REMEMBER MY PASSWORD TO LOG IN?

A: If you cannot remember your Workshop password, simply hit "Forgot Password" on the Login Page and the system will send you an email to reset it. 

  

Q: WHERE DO I FIND THE PRINTABLE PDF DOWNLOADS?

A: At the bottom of most Modules is a "Downloads" section that includes PDF documents that you can download and print. Please note: this information is already included in your course book and not all pages of the 2020 Course Book are available as PDFs. We included digital versions of select pages that are useful to print and use year after year. 

 

Q:  I'M AN ALUMNI MEMBER. WHAT NEW CONTENT DID YOU ADD TO THE 2020 COURSE? 

A: We compiled all new or updated course book content into a single downloadable PDF document. You'll find the 2020 Course Book Updates for Alumni PDF in the Downloads area of Module 1 or you can follow this direct link. In the PDF document, you'll find the workshop video outline which indicates all of the new videos in bold. As you'll see, we have several new videos this year, including 3 new farmer-florist business profiles, 2 new dahlia tutorials, plus a video featuring our new peony field. The PDF update also includes valuable vendor coupons, including a discount code for the Floret Shop, so be sure to check it out!
